This lady was one of the many graceful cultural dancers at The Rose Garden Resort about a 100 kms. drive out 0f Bankok. This is a beautiful garden and Cultural Centre. Visitors can experience elephant rides and view a show that demonstrates some aspects of Thai society such as Thai Boxing, Sword Fighting, Traditional dance and a Thai wedding Ceremony. Many of the dance costumes were made from Thai silk and were both beautiful and colorful.
The background of this painting was crushed gold leaf, her skin was painted in pastel, the hair and jewelry in acrylic paint. For the fabric I used net, lace and plain cotton which I placed as a flat pattern and glued to the board and then painted it with acrylic paint.
