On the Dorsoduro

This painting shows the view from the Accademia bridge, as you cross the Grand Canal and look towards the mouth of the canal and the church of Santa Maria della Salute. This Baroque church is one of Venice’s most recognizable landmarks and houses paintings by Titian and Tintoretto. This area is also home to the Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim art galleries.
To make this mask I used feathers, braid, lace, fabric, beads, gold paint and cern liner.
