This website displays my mixed media art. I use some unique painting techniques to create my art, and wish to show you some of my work which is also available for purchase as original artworks, or as prints or cards. There are descriptions and stories about each of my paintings so be sure to click on the ‘read more’ to discover how and why I painted each piece of art.
Some of the money I raise through sale of my artwork, prints and cards goes directly to sponsorship of some schools in Africa and some wildlife Conservation Projects. These are listed in the description of the artworks or in my blog. Please help if you can.
Look into my eyes – Leopard, South Luangwa, Zambia
the original painting measured 32x 38 cms. and was painted in pastel on rag mat board
My first sighting of Kylie the leopard was on a morning drive not far out of Mwamba Bush camp, however she was up a tree and well camouflaged among the leaves and I hoped to see her later in a more open position. Our afternoon/evening drive eclipsed all previous leopard sightings so far with a very close and prolonged encounter again with the beautiful and apparently placid Kylie who posed in front of our vehicle then paraded towards us before casually strolling off to join her cub who, unlike his mother, was camera shy and remained hidden. Named Kylie because like her namesake (according to Derek Shenton), she is small but perfect, Kylie lived up to her reputation.
